Reference IDs

referenceUid

The contentDock® API provides several ways to uniquely manage your records. The records from your database will all be stored with a unique ID. You can pass this ID per data record in the "data" array field "referenceUid". However, the referenceUid field must not be included in the field definition of the DataContainerTable.

parentReferenceUid

The contentDock® API provides you the possibility to corelate your data for translations with the parentReferenceUid. You can submit this ID for each record in the "data" array field "parentReferenceUid". However, the parentReferenceUid field must not be included in the field definition of the DataContainerTable. The parentReferenceUid references the record with the same content in the referenceUid field in the same DataContainerTable. This record has to exist in the DataContainerTable. See "Languages and translations".

contentdockRecordUid

In the contentDock® DataContainer tables, each saved record receives an unique ID. This ID is returned to you for each record in the ResponseArray in the "contentdockRecordUid" field. Save this ID additionally in your database and which enables you to directly update or delete.
